Newton welcomes the Friends Historical Association, on their spring pilgrimage, to join us on May 5, 2019 for worship and a property tour and historic talk.
Following a brown bag lunch and complimentary dessert, we are pleased to have Walt Whitman join us for a program of poetry and local lore. Famed poet, storyteller and Walt Whitman interpreter, Rocky Wilson will entertain and educate us about Camden’s esteemed writer and international legend.
Worship at 10:30 followed by tour and talk at 11:45. Lunch at 12:30, Performance at 1pm
Note: The Friends Historical Association was founded in Philadelphia in 1873. The association is dedicated to the study, preservation, and publication of material relating to the history of the Religious Society of Friends.
