Green Burials

Friends gather for worship, fellowship and business in monthly meetings. Friends from 7-9 nearby monthly meetings gather four times a year for quarterly meetings. We are part of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, which includes Delaware and parts of Pennsylvania, South Jersey, and Maryland, as well as Friends General Conference and the Friends World Committee for Consultation. In this period of COVID, some changes in the following schedules may occur, including holding meetings via Zoom.

“Green Burials” will be the topic of the next Burlington Quarter meeting, scheduled for Sunday, March 21, hosted by Barnegat Monthly Meeting. Andrew Hoffman, guest speaker, has recently moved to South Jersey and is working with Keates and Keates Plum Funeral Homes. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and did clinical work with Robert G. Mayer, noted author, consultant and clinician in the mortuary field.
Note: Additional 2021 meetings will be held on June 20, September 19, and December 19. Burlington Quarter traditionally meets on the third Sunday in March, June, September, December.
