ECO (Environment,Community,Opportunity) Charter School closes.
It is with great sadness that Newton announces our neighbor and loyal supporter of the Meeting has closed its doors after 17 years of service to the community. Challenges associated with declining student enrollment after the pandemic, limitations with facilities, and the ability to hire teachers with the skill and will to deliver a rigorous curriculum to students are a few of the reasons forcing the closure.
ECO Charter will be sorely missed by us and the neighborhood.
Newton is looking for other opportunities to partner with community groups or individuals to provide space and resources.
